Basilippo Picual extra virgin olive oil is the premier olive oil of the family. The 2024 harvest was grown and hand harvested at the family's estate La Merced grove in the heart of the Campiña de Los Alcores. Ten kg (22 pounds) of olives are needed to obtain 1 liter of Basilippo Picual. This is in comparison to 5 kg of olives for every liter of oil for common producers. There are aromas of green fruit, herbs, olive leaf and vegetables. The flavors are similar dominated by olive leaf, herbs, and tomato with balanced bitterness and spiciness.
