Barolo wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes, which are rich and full-bodied, producing wine that is full of hearty fruit flavors and darker overtones like chocolate and licorice. When figs are drenched in syrup with this wine the result is a stupendous treat for wine dinners or a garnish for meat dishes, cheese plates and desserts.
